Maruti Suzuki offers BRAND NEW WagonR, Ignis & S-Cross with subscription plan

Maruti Suzuki has announced that it is going to expand the range for its subscription programme. This programme enables customers to use a brand-new car without actually paying upfront for the vehicle entirely. Maruti Suzuki will take care of the maintenance, 24×7 roadside assistance and insurance for the complete tenure which the customers opt for. The customer has to only pay for a monthly subscription to avail this service.

This service is currently available in all major cities across India namely;  Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad and more. Previously Maruti Suzuki had only added Swift, Dzire, Vitara Brezza, Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki ARENA and Baleno, Ciaz, and XL6 from NEXA. But, now the company has decided to include WagonR, Ignis and S-Cross as well. The monthly subscription starts at INR 12,722 for the WagonR LXi trim and INR 13,772 for Ignis Sigma trim for a period of 48 months The prices mentioned are for Delhi inclusive of all taxes. The customers have an option to choose the programme for either of 24, 36 or 48 months and after completion of the tenure, the customer can further extend the plan or even buy the car at the market price.

Maruti Suzuki is offering the freedom to choose between a white number plate or a black number plate. For the white plate, the tenure options available are 24, 36 or 48 months as against 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42 or 48 months for the black plate. Maruti Suzuki confirmed that there won’t be any restrictions and the customers can travel anywhere within the Indian geographical limits. Customers of the white number plate will have their car registered under their name and hypothecated to Maruti Suzuki’s leasing partner – ORIX whereas the black number plate customers will have their car registered under the name of the subscription partner and the registration type would be as ‘self-drive’.

The trend of car subscription has picked up pace recently in India. A lot of carmakers like Hyundai, Tata Motors are providing this service and people are also taking some interest in it this service. This programme is best suited for customers who change their cars every 3-4 years and for the ones who do not have the finances to pay the downpayment for a brand new car at one go.
