Maruti Suzuki launches S-Presso Xtra limited edition

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Maruti has brought in a special ‘Xtra’ edition of the S-Presso, called ‘Xtra’ edition. This has been revealed via its digital platforms. This edition features exterior and interior styling accessories to add to its overall looks. The styling kit uses Maruti Suzuki’s official accessories. Thus the hatchback gets a dealer fitment on ‘Xtra’ variants of the S-Presso. This is similar to what Swift offers in the form of special edition kit accessories.

What Are The Changes?

The name ‘Xtra’ seems to stand for the extra added details and accessories with which this special edition comes fitted. On the outside, we see the addition of a front skid plate, door cladding, and wheel arch cladding. What it looks like is that the hatchback is based on the top variant of the S-Presso.

Changes On The Inside

On the interiors of this new edition, we get to see new red inserts. This includes a semi-circular red element that surrounds the centre instrument panel, red accents on the door panel, and a new set of mats exclusive to the ‘Xtra’ edition. The rest of the cabin remains the same thus staying unchanged.

No Added Features

Interestingly, the edition does not get any added features or equipment. Based on the top-spec Vxi+ (O) trims, the Xtra edition comes with the same features as the normal trim. Thus the highlighting feature remains the seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a digital instrument cluster. On the safety front, the list includes dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, speed alerts, and a seatbelt reminder in the front.

Engine And Mechanicals

As apparent from above, ‘Xtra’ is purely cosmetic. Hence changes to the mechanicals either. It continues with the regular S-Presso’s 1-litre petrol engine that makes 68PS and 90Nm. Gearbox options include a five-speed manual transmission and an optional five-speed AMT. CNG trims also use the same engine but produces less power which is 56.69PS and 82.1Nm. Although they are only available with a five-speed manual transmission.

Price Range

The S-Presso price range falls in the INR 4.25 lakh to INR 6.10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) bracket. The ‘Xtra’ edition is a dealer-level fitment.  These Maruti-added accessories will likely attract a small premium on the variant it is based on. As of now, the prices are yet to be announced.
