Slavia, Virtus, Kushaq & Taigun could get electric driver seat adjustment

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

2023 will mark 2-years of Skoda VW’s MQB A0 IN-based cars in India. As we understand, the company is looking for some updates for their respective products next year. The VW Group’s India-specific MQB platform made its debut with the Skoda Kushaq.

Now as per reports, it is said that the SUV will get a new Lava Blue exterior colour next year. This does not sound like much of an upgrade. But, there’s one interesting upgrade awaiting the cars. We believe that the Kushaq and Slavia, along with VW’s Taigun and Virtus, will most likely get electric seat adjustment and footwell illumination. This is a great touch to add to the convenience and exclusiveness.

The Current Status Of Skoda And VW In India

Other than sharing the same platform, Skoda and Volkswagen offer the same engines and transmission options. This is the same for their entry-level SUV and mid-size sedan range. Engine options include a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder TSI that makes 113 BHP and 178 Nm. Then we have a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder TSI that puts out 148 BHP and 250 Nm. A 6-speed manual transmission comes standard available with both engines. The 1.0L engine gets a 6-speed automatic option which is of the torque converter type. Meanwhile, for the 1.5L motor, we get a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

India 2.0 Project A Massive Success

With the induction of the India 2.0 project, VW Group has been in the news for good reasons. Both Volkswagen and Skoda reported an overwhelming response to their newly launched products. In fact, Skoda is all set to celebrate 2022 as its best year with the highest sales volume. All of these are possible because of the visible changes under the new identity of India 2.0. The future looks quite promising for both brands as we await more new products in the future.
