Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new Black Edition for its Nexa line-up. These include the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6 and Grand Vitara.
What is the Nexa Black Edition?
Maruti will be offering its range of Nexa cars in a new ‘Pearl Midnight Black’. These all-black models will be called as the Nexa Black Edition. It is not yet known if this will be available as a limited edition or a new colour option for all the cars.
Not all the variants will get this colour option. The Ignis will get it only on the Zeta and Alpha trims. The XL6 will come in Alpha and Alpha+ trims, while incase of Grand Vitara it will be offered on the Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+ Hybrid and Alpha+ Hybrid trims.
The Nexa black edition will be offered on all the variants of Ciaz. Readers might recollect that the Ciaz used to be offered with a black shade. In terms of pricing, there will be no extra charge for opting for the Nexa black edition.
New limited-edition Accessory package
Maruti has also introduced an accessory package for customers. This Limited Edition Accessory package will be available to all the Nexa customers at a discounted price. The price for this varies from INR 17,890 for the Baleno and all the way upto INR 39,900 for the Ciaz.
In other news
Maruti Suzuki is rolling out a software update for the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system in the Baleno. The over-the-air (OTA) update is currently available for the Zeta and Alpha variants of the Baleno. With this update, the system gets a slew of new features. This includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and turn-by-turn navigation for the heads-up display and MID.
Earlier this year, the carmaker introduced the same features on the Brezza through a similar OTA update. Hence, we assume we could see this feature on more models in the future.
