The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 hatchback has been spied without any camouflage giving us a clear idea of what we can expect out of it.

Images suggest that the car will share the body structure of the Alto 800 and will get bigger swept-back headlamps, new grille with a chrome strip, revised front and rear bumper, side body moulding, different ORVMs, fog lamps etc, new tail lamp etc. The car will continue with 13″ wheels similar to the current K10.

Reports suggest that the K10 will be available in three variants such as Lxi, Lxi+ and Vxi. The Lxi will get AC and power steering as standard, Lxi+ will get wheel caps and the Vxi will get body coloured ORVMs and door handles, side body mouldings, front power windows, fog lamps, rear parcel tray and central locking.

The Alto K10 will be powered by the 998cc, 3-cylinder petrol motor developing 68 PS of power and 90 Nm of torque. Engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a new AMT transmission is on the cards as well. It will also get a bi-fuel option with the car running on CNG + petrol.

Market launch is expected in January 2015.
