Big news from the house of Harley-Davidson. The first images of their upcoming motorcycle have surfaced on the internet. This model comes up in collaboration with Hero MotorCorp. Although this is an all-new model, the design is quite familiar.

Harley-Davidson HD 4XX What Do We Know So Far?

This new Harley-Davidson will use a new air-/oil-cooled 400-odd-cc single-cylinder engine. As seen in the number plate visible on the motorcycles, that reads Hd 4xx. So we assume this is a teaser to the engine capacity being above 400cc. Currently, we do not have any other information on the performance figures of the motor.

Design Highlights

In terms of design, the motorcycle carries the typical Harley Davidson outlook. The motorcycle gets quite a sizable presence and looks quite striking as well. The design shares some visual cues from the old XR1200 roadsters. From the images, we assume the motorcycle is more of a roadster than a traditional long and low cruiser.

Hardware Setup

In terms of the suspension setup, this new Harley gets a USD fork instead of a telescopic fork. For the rear Harley has kept it more traditional with twin shock absorbers sporting progressive springs and piggyback reservoirs.

Braking power comes from Bybre disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS as well. We see a round, fully digital display. But we are not yet sure if it is an LCD unit or a TFT unit. This new entry-level Harley also benefits from LED lighting all around. The LED headlight equips a horizontal DRL right in the centre, and the rectangular tail light

Upon scrutiny, we see that the front wheel looks larger than the rear. Meanwhile, the alloy design is just like a typical Harley Davidson. Other notable visual cues include a pillion seat as well as the RTO-mandated saree guard.

Launch Dates And Price Range

As for the launch timelines. We are expecting this motorcycle to hit the roads very soon. Once launched, this new entry-level Harley-Davidson will most likely retail with an aggressive price tag. Thus the expected price range is around or below the INR 2.5 lakh mark.
