KTM has confirmed that the 390 Adventure will be launched in India next year. 2019 will finally mark the debut of the adventure range of KTM models in India, and it will be the smallest offering to make it to our shores first. The KTM 390 Adventure has been long awaited, and this official statement is going to keep enthuaists eagerly waiting for the calendar year change.
Also, what’s interesting is that it seems like KTM wants to keep buyers waiting longer, and want to stop the potential customers from buying the BMW G 310 GS which is now open for bookings and deliveries which will commence from August 2018.
KTM has mentioned that the new 2019 390 Adventure will derive styling from the flagship 1290 Super Adventure and will come with all the bells and whistles to allow for long distance riding as well as being able to ride over any kind of terrain. This will be KTMs first product in the dual-sport segment in India, and the brand is confident that this kind of a motorcycle is perfect for the Indian terrain.
The 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke motor produces 42.9 BHP of power and 37 Nm of torque on the Duke models. We expect slight retuning on the KTM 390 Adventure so that this model suits the nature of the motorcycle. Obviously, we will find features like ABS, slipper clutch, digital colour display instrument console, smartphone connectivity, grippy tyres, front windscreen, etc.
Are you excited? We sure are!
