Electric vehicle startup Komaki on Monday has brought in the LY Pro electric scooter. This EV scooter comes with a price tag of INR 1,37,500 (ex-showroom). The key talking point of this scooter is its dual batteries of 62V32AH. Of which both are removable. And thus, the batteries need to be charged with the use of a dual charger. Komaki claims that the batteries juice up to 100 per cent within 4 hours and 55 minutes simultaneously.
Features On Offer
In terms of features, the scooter is up to the standards. It features a TFT display that gets onboard navigation, a sound system, Bluetooth, and calling options, along with some other ready-to-ride features. The scooter also comes with three gear modes with regen. These are namely, Eco Mode, Sports Mode and Turbo Mode.
The company further claimed that the top speed of the Komaki LY Pro electric scooter ranges between 58 and 62 kilometres. The scooter comes equipped with a slew of advanced tech features. This includes advanced anti-skid technology to prevent skidding of the vehicle on hills. The scooter uses 12-inch tubeless tyres to provide enhanced safety.
Hardware Highlights
In terms of hardware, the scooter equips led front winkers. It also gets 3000 Watt hub motors/38 AMP controllers as well as parking assist/cruise control and reverses assist functions.
With the launch of this scooter, Komaki aims big. The target is to lead the green and clean mobility domain. The addition of Komaki LY Pro to the product portfolio will add to the country’s pursuit to achieve sustainable development goals. With more EVs replacing internal combustion engine (ICE) powered vehicles, the carbon footprint too gets under control.
Komaki also claims to offer the country’s first pure electric cruiser motorcycle in its portfolio. Named Ranger, the electric motorcycle arrived in January last year. It gets a four-kilowatt battery pack paired with a 5,000-watt motor. It also comes with a claimed mileage of around 250 km range on a single charge.
