Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut sets new high-speed world records

Koenigsegg has set a new high-speed world records on the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut. In total the Swedish super car company has set 4 new records beating its own high-speed world records, previously set by the Regera. Records include 0-400-0 Kmph, 0-400 Kmph, 0-250 mph and 0-250-0 mph. The brand revealed that the Jesko Absolut also achieved a top speed of 412 Kmph/256mph and still had some rpms remaining.

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut has beaten the Koenigsegg Regera’s record of 28.81 seconds by clocking a 0-400-0 Kmph time of 27.83 seconds. In addition to this, the Jesko Absolut has also set a new world record for the fastest 0-400 Kmph time in just 18.82 seconds. The 0-250 mph time is 19.20 seconds and the 0-250-0 mph time is 28.27 seconds. All the records on the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut were set by Markus Lundh, the company’s test driver at an airfield in Orebro, Sweden.

Was the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Modified?

The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut which beat the world record was fitted with a roll cage to protect the driver and a seat from the Koenigsegg One:1. The record setting Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut also came with standard Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres and ran on E85 Fuel. All other aspects of the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut were standard, making the Jesko Absolut the fastest fully homologated production car in the world.

Technical Specifications

Powering the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut is a 5.0-litre V8 engine with a flat-plane crankshaft. The engine also features a twin-turbo system with ceramic ball bearings and Koenigsegg response system offering a boost pressure of 1.7 bar with standard fuel and 2.2 bar with E85. The engine also comes with Carbon fiber intake manifold with optimized intake tracts, Tig-welded ceramic coated 0.8 mm wall thickness Inconel exhaust system manifold with merge collector, closed loop individual combustion and lambda control and a sequential, multipoint fuel injection system with individual cylinder pressure and back pressure sensors. The motor produces 1280 hp at 7800 rpm and redlines at 8500 rpm. With E85 fuel the engine develops 1600 hp of power. With standard petrol the Koenigsegg makes 1000 Nm from 2700 to 6170 rpm and maximum twisting force that it can generate is 1500 Nm at 5100 rpm. The Jesko Absolut features the Koenigsegg 9-speed Light Speed Transmission (LST) with Koenigsegg Electronic Differential and a gearbox control module with Ultimate Power on Demand (UPOD).
