Kia has launched the all-new Seltos SUV, their first product for the Indian market at a very lucrative introductory price tag starting from INR 9.69 lakh. The Kia Seltos has been launched in a total of 3 engine options which includes a 1.4L turbo-petrol, 1.5L naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.5L turbo-diesel. The 1.4L turbo-petrol Seltos produces 140 PS of power and 242 Nm of torque and is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The 1.5L naturally-aspirated, non-turbocharged petrol engine is also a 4-cylinder motor which produces 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT option as well. The 1.5L, turbocharged diesel engine produces 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter conventional automatic option. All engines of the Kia Seltos are BSVI emission norms compliant.
Fuel efficiency claims are as follows:
- 1.4L Turbo-Petrol – 16.1 kmpl MT / 16.5 kmpl DCT
- 1.5L Petrol – 16.5 kmpl MT / 16.8 kmpl CVT
- 1.5L Diesel – 21 kmpl MT / 18 kmpl AT

The Seltos SUV has been launched with a 3-year unlimited km warranty and will also have extended warranty option. Kia has received more than 32,035 bookings for the Seltos, and over 5,000 cars have already been produced and ready for deliveries. Kia has a 3 lakh unit plant capacity at the moment, with more cars to be launched in the months to come.
