Kia India sold 2,27,844 cars in CY 2021

Kia India announces its sales report for the calendar year 2021. The carmaker has sold a total of 2,27,844 units for CY 2021. This includes domestic sales of 1,81,583 units, which translates to a growth of 29 per cent year-over-year growth. This takes Kia amongst the top 5 car manufacturers in the country with a total market share of 6 per cent.

For the month of December 2021, Kia India registered a total sales of 4,012 units for Seltos. Meanwhile, Sonet and Carnival contributed 3,578 and 207 units respectively. Carens is the latest addition to Kia India’s portfolio and the SUV has already made a name in the market. In terms of exports, Kia India exported over 46,261 units, which translates to year-over-year growth of 23 per cent. Kia has exported over 96,242 units in the last 2.5 years of operations in India, taking the total sales to 4.5 lakh units.

Kia India Story Till Date

Ever since Kia set its foot in the country, the carmaker has received a very positive response. The introduction of Seltos was the first big step and today the product is among the top-selling SUVs in the market. Sonet was yet another important launch in the country, taking the sub-4-meter SUV segment by storm. Kia Carnival is a product aimed towards the niche luxury MPV segment. And now with the Carens, Kia is all set to take on the three-row SUV segment.

Kia India was the quicked brand to clinch the 350,000 sales milestone in the country. And this is quite a remarkable achievement for the carmaker. In terms of export as well, Kia India is expanding its reach to more countries. Kia also topped the Dealer Satisfaction Study 2021 and 2020 in a row. This speaks volumes of Kia India’s dedication to customer satisfaction and experience. The 2021 calendar also marked the year wherein both Seltos and Sonet both attained 200,000 and 100,000 sales respectively since their introduction in the market.
