Kia India has launched a new business vertical. The Kia CPO is a pre-owned car business for the benefit of its customers. Kia CPO stands for Kia Certified Pre-Owned Car Business. The company has planned exclusive outlets, hoping to provide a new-age experience to customers that is at par with the new car buying experience.
The Kia CPO will allow seamless buying, selling or exchanging experiences with the assurance of hassle-free paperwork, finance options and certified used cars. As part of the new initiative, Kia will offer up to 2 years and 40,000 km of warranty and up to 4 free periodic maintenance visits free of cost.
Kia has noted that 33% of its new car buyers are replacement buyers, and the Korean carmaker plans to facilitate them through this new Kia CPO business. Customers would be able to exchange any used car for a new Kia vehicle. In terms of benefits, the customer will also get a bundled deal which includes secure and instant payment.
Kia CPO will offer a fair, transparent and quick digital evaluation process to offer the best price for a customer’s car. To this effect, the company has also introduced the industry’s best Digital Evaluation Mobile Application with real-time data integration & scientific pricing suggestions.
Kia models sold via the certified program will be less than five years old, have less than 1 lakh km on the odo and would have undergone a 175-point checkup before being sold to the customer. They will also not have any structural damage, have a verified ownership and service record and will be refurbished via Kia Genuine Parts only.
Kia CPO is aimed as a one-stop solution for customers. They will get peace of mind and an easy entry into the world of Kia. The carmaker will also sell Non-Kia cars to interested customers, but they will not get extra warranty benefits. Such vehicles will be made available to customers on an as-is-where-is basis.
Currently, Kia has 15 CPO outlets across 14 cities. These include Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Cochin, Bhubaneshwar, Calicut, Amritsar, Nasik, Baroda, Kannur and Malappuram. The Korean carmaker also has plans to have 30+ outlets by the end of 2022.
