Kawasaki Z650, Vulcan S & Ninja ZX-25R get new colours

Kawasaki has launched the 2022 Model Year motorcycles in the Asian and North American markets. The Kawasaki Z650, Vulcan S and the Ninja ZX-25R now come with new colour options.

2022 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R

The quarter-litre monster retails in Indonesia at IDR 98.850.000 MSRP and comes with a new black colour option on the Non-ABS version and three colour options on the ABS SE variant. The Ninja ZX-25R ABS SE comes with Green in KRT graphics, Black with red chassis, silver body, new red graphics, and a new blue colour option. Apart from the colour change, there are no mechanical changes to the Ninja ZX-25R.

Powering the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R is a 249.8cc four-stroke liquid-cooled engine. The quarter-litre screamer produces 51 PS of power and 22.9 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 6-speed return type gearbox with a dual direction quick-shifter.

2022 Kawasaki Z650

The middle-weight sports naked motorcycle in the 2022 avatar retails in the North American markets, starting at USD 7,349 MSRP. The brand also retails an ABS version with a price tag of USD 7,849 MSRP. The MY 2022 Kawasaki Z650 comes with two new colour options – METALLIC SPARK BLACK/METALLIC FLAT SPARK BLACK and PEARL ROBOTIC WHITE/METALLIC MATTE GRAPHENE STEEL GRAY. 

In the engine department, the Z650 remain the same as the previous model. Powering the Z650 is a 649cc parallel-twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The engine produces 68 PS of power and 65 Nm of torque. The motor comes with a 6-speed return type transmission with a slipper assist clutch. 

2022 Kawasaki Vulcan S

The MY 2022 Kawasaki Vulcan S comes with two new colours during the update. The cruiser motorcycle features a PEARL ROBOTIC WHITE shade and a METALLIC MATTE GRAPHENE STEEL GRAY/METALLIC MATTE GRAPHITE GRAY. The colour options enhance the cruiser motorcycles looks. 

But, the Kawasaki Vulcan S remains the same underneath. Powering the motorcycle is the same twin-cylinder in-line engine that powers the Z650. The motor on the Vulcan S comes with larger 38mm throttle bodies and produces 60 PS of power and 62.4 Nm of torque. The Vulcan S comes with a 6-speed gearbox with a positive neutral finder.
