Team Green has launched the new 2022 Model Year Kawasaki Z900 in the North American market. The Streetnaked motorcycle comes with a price tag of USD 9,099 MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price). For the new model year, Kawasaki has introduced two new colour options on the Z900. The new colour options are – METALLIC MATTE TWILIGHT BLUE/METALLIC SPARK BLACK and PEARL ROBOTIC WHITE/METALLIC SPARK BLACK.
The 2021 model came with PEARL BLIZZARD WHITE/METALLIC SPARK BLACK and METALLIC SPARK BLACK/METALLIC FLAT SPARK BLACK with RED colour options. Compared to the 2021 model, the new models also cost a full USD 100 more on the MSRP. But other than the cosmetic paint change, the motorcycle remains the same.
Kawasaki Z900 – New Colour Options
The new colour option features a matte blue fuel tank cower and the top part of the headlight shroud. The fuel tank and side cowls are painted in metallic sparkle black. The motorcycle features black alloy wheels with white/silver rim stripes. The other colour option features a black fuel tank and panels along with pearl robotic white tank cover and shrouds and pearl robotic white headlamp shroud in combination with metallic sparkle black. The theme also features black alloy wheels with white/silver rim stripes.
Kawasaki Z900 – Engine Specifications
Powering the Kawasaki Z900 is a 948cc in-line four-cylinder engine. The liquid-cooled 4-stroke 16-valve DOHC motor comes with electronic fuel injection and also complies with Euro5 standard where applicable. The engine produces 125 PS of power and 98.6 Nm of torque and comes with a 6-speed return type gearbox.
Kawasaki Z900 Mechanical Specifications
The Kawasaki Z900 comes with a high-tensile steel trellis frame that rides on a 41mm inverted fork with rebound damping and spring preload adjustability on the front and a horizontal back-link suspension with stepless rebound damping, adjustable spring preload. The motorcycle also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels. Stopping powers comes from 300mm petal-style twin-discs on the front and 250mm petal-style single disc on the rear. The motorcycle also comes with ABS for safety.
Kawasaki Z900 in India
The Kawasaki Z900 slots between the mid-segment Kawasaki Z650 and the excessive Kawasaki Z H2. The motorcycle comes with an ex-showroom price of INR 8.34 lakh ex-showroom and is available in two colour options – Metallic Graphite Gray and Candy Lime green.
