Is this the 2023 TVS Apache 160cc motorcycle?

Written by Rohit Tonapi

After its last update in 2021, TVS is working on some new updates for its RTR 160 4V. The RTR 160 4V is already the most powerful motorcycle in its segment, and now it looks like TVS is bringing some updates to make the overall package even better. The test mule had no camouflage. There are no visible visual changes, but we can spot a couple of mechanical changes.

2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Spotted – What Do We See?

As we mentioned before, the 2023 Apache RTR 160 4V test mule has no camouflage. Thus, it is likely that there will not be any visual changes. There’s also a red engine head visible, but that’s also not new.

Now, let’s move on to the mechanical changes. The person who clicked the spy shot was told that the motorcycle had revised intake. This could mean one of two things – more performance or better rideability. It is most likely the latter as the RTR 160 4V already has class-leading power. However, the motor is known to have a weak low-end torque. Thus, TVS seems to be addressing this issue.

We do see a new exhaust design as well. This seems to be a prototype unit, but the final one could look like the one on the current motorcycle, albeit with internal changes.

2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V – What Do We Know?

Apart from the new spy shot, there are not many details available about the 2023 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. The sporty 160cc motorcycle will likely carry the same features as the current one, such as a one-touch starter, Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, gear shift indicator, etc.

As for the engine, displacement will stay the same at 159.7cc. The single-cylinder engine currently makes 17.39 BHP and 14.73 Nm of torque. The 2023 model might not see any changes in these figures. However, TVS will make changes for a slight better off-the-line performance.
