Honda has introduced a new single-seater electric scooter in the Chinese market. The new Honda electric scooter is called U-BE. The Honda U-BE features the Honda U-GO family design language and boasts of being a stylish and convenient way to travel in the urban environment. Honda will be offering three variants on the U-BE in the Chinese market. The variants will come with three different size battery packs and also come with additional features.
Honda U-BE – Electric Powertrain Specifications
The small scooter comes with a 350W continuous power output electric motor. This electric motor boasts the use of low-loss materials and a highly optimized design. This allows the highest conversion efficiency of the motor. The brand claims that the conversion efficiency can reach 85%. The motor comes with low power consumption, low noise, and rapid speed increase. The electric motor also comes with a high-performance controller protecting from overvoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature.
Honda U-BE – Battery and Variants
Honda offers three battery sizes with the electric motor depending on the variant. The lithium-ion batteries come with a 48V architecture and come in three sizes – 15A, 20A, and 24A. The 15A battery returns a range of 55 km on a single charge. The 20A battery returns a range of 70 km on a single charge. The top of the line 24A battery pack returns a range of 85 km on a single charge.
