Honda sold 2,11,978 two-wheelers in March 2023

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has released its sales report for March 2023. The two-wheeler maker posted a total cumulative sales of 2,11,978 units for the given period. With these figures, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India marked a significant 34 per cent decline in cumulative sales year-on-year. In terms of month-on-month sales performance, it showed a decline of 14 per cent.

With the demand going up for two-wheelers, Honda is a top choice. The blockbuster offerings like Shine and Activa on sale, Honda is becoming a household name in the Indian market. With more new launches in the pipeline, Honda will attract more sales in the coming years.

Honda2Wheelers March 2023 Sales Performance

HMSI also reported cumulative sales of 3,21,343 units for March 2022. Meanwhile, the sales in the month of February 2023 stood at 2,47,175 units. Currently, no longer on sale in India, the Navi is Honda’s most exported model. Domestic sales for the given month stood at 1,97,512 units. This is down from 3,09,549 units a year ago.

Honda2Wheelers Racking Up Significant Sales Volume

Compared to a year ago, interestingly enough, Honda’s exports grew 22 per cent. Going from 11,794 units in March 2022 to 14,466 units last month. This improvement in export has been because of Honda’s push for new models. This is the story of existing global markets as well as entering new markets. Notable new launches include the launch of the SP125 in Australia and New Zealand. Then Unicorn entered the Nigerian market.

More Sales Coming In For Honda2Wheelers

For the financial year 2022-2023, HMSI reported a total sales of 43,50,943 units. This is a good 14.5 per cent up from 37,99,680 units retailed in the last financial year. Thus, total domestic sales stood at 40,25,486 units. Meanwhile, the total exports stood at 3,25,457 units. The Cumulative domestic sales improved from 34,68,828 units in FY2022. Although exports were down as compared to 3,30,852 units in the last financial year.
