The commercial wing of Tata Motors has launched an all-new Ace EV 1000. The e-cargo vehicle is set to transform the last-mile mobility segment with zero emission mini-truck. Tata Motors claims that the Ace EV 1000 is capable carrying a payload of 1 tonne and comes with a certified range of 161 km on a single charge. The Ace EV 1000 is targeted towards the FMCG, beverages, paints & lubricants, LPG and dairy sectors.
The Tata Ace EV 1000 features an advanced battery management system, Fleet Edge telematics system and claims to have the best-in-class uptime. The electric cargo delivery vehicle also boasts to leverage the capabilities of the Tata UniEVerse. Tata Motors has also revealed that the Ace EV 1000 will be available in various cargo decks. Customers can book the Ace EV 1000 at all Tata Motors commercial vehicle dealerships across India.
Tata Ace EV 1000 – Powertrain
Powering the Tata Ace EV 1000 is a EVOGEN powertrain. The electric powertrain comes with a 27kW (36hp) motor that delivers 130 Nm of peak torque. Thanks to the torquey motor the Ace EV offers good pickup and grade-ability allowing the cargo carrier to easily ascend in fully loaded conditions. The Ace EV also gets an advanced battery cooling system and regenerative braking system boosting the range. The brand also offers a 7-year battery warranty and a 5-year comprehensive maintenance package with the Ace EV 1000.

In other news, electric mobility company Ola is also likely to be working on an electric three-wheeler called Raahi. The brand has not yet officially announced anything yet, but the electric three-wheeler is likely to come with a large cargo bed as well as a passenger carry iteration.
Recently, Tata rolled out the 900,000th commercial vehicle from its Lucknow production plant. The manufacturing plant has been producing cargo and passenger commercial vehicles since its inauguration in 1992. The plant produces electric as well as fuel cell electric buses, in addition to the light, intermediate, medium and heavy commercial vehicles.
