Honda’s latest motorcycle in the mid-spec adventure segment is the Honda NX500. The Honda NX500 comes with a twin-cylinder motor, comfortable suspension and a clean crisp design theory. The NX500 also comes with comfortable seating for two and it can also carry your luggage on those long tours. We took the Honda NX500 on a long ride so we could bring you all the information on the successor of the CB500X here in the Indian market.
Honda NX500 – Technical Specifications
Powering the Honda NX500 is a 471cc in-line twin-cylinder engine. The liquid-cooled DOHC motor produces 47 Hp of power and 43 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The motorcycle comes with a 41mm Showa Big Piston Separate Function Fork on the front and a preload adjustable monoshock on the rear. The NX500 rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels offering a ground clearance of 181mm. The NX500 also comes with a 17.5-litre fuel tank and weighs 196 kg at the kerb.

The Honda NX500 comes with features such as a new 5-inch full-colour TFT screen with smartphone connectivity. The crisp colour display offers mileage information, trip computers, real time economy, gear position, rpm, speed etc. The display also offers turn-by-turn navigation using smartphone connectivity. Also, the display has three different layouts and offers features such as automatic or manual brightness as well as a day and night backlit view.
In addition to the display, the NX500 also comes with Full LED lighting. The motorcycle also features emergency stop signal as well as a hazard light switch. Honda also offers the NX500 with a dual channel ABS as well as a switchable Honda Selectable Torque Control system (Traction Control). However, the motorcycle does not come with any riding modes.
Honda NX500 – Price and Availability
The NX500 comes with a hefty price tag of INR 5.90 lakh ex-showroom. However, what Honda offers on NX500 screams quality and the motorcycle is worth every penny. The brand is retailing the NX500 through its premium Honda BigWing stores across the country.
