Mercedes-Benz GLA Review

In February 2024, Mercedes-Benz launched the Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift. The smaller luxury SUV from the German brand comes in three options – GLA 200, GLA 220d 4 Matic and the GLA 220d 4Matic AMG Line. Prices of the Mercedes-Benz GLA start from INR 51.75 Lakh ex-showroom and the top-spec AMG Line comes with a price tag of INR 58.15 Lakh ex-showroom.

In this video review, we road test the top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz GLA 220d 4Matic AMG Line which comes with a diesel powered engine. Mercedes-Benz GLA 220d 4Matic AMG Line – Spcifications

Powering the Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 is a 1332cc four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 163 Hp of power and 270 Nm of torque. The engine comes matched to a 7G-DCT 7-speed dual clutch transmission. Mercedes-Benz claims that the engine is capable of accelerating from 0-100 KMPH in just 8.9 Seconds.

The variant that we are driving in the video review is the Mercedes-Benz GLA 220d 4Matic AMG Line. Powering the GLA 220d 4Matic AMG Line is a 1950cc four cylinder diesel engine that delivers 190 Hp of power and 400 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 8G-DCT 8-speed dual clutch transmission. The engine is capable of accelerating the SUV from 0-100 KMPH in just 7.5 Seconds and the SUV can achieve a top speed of 219 KMPH.

In terms of size, the Mercedes-Benz GLA in the Progressive trim measures 4412mm in length, 1616mm in height and 1834mm in width. The car gets a wheelbase of 2729mm. The AMG Line model is longer with 4436mm in length, 1834mm in width and shorter with 1605mm in height. The wheelbase of the AMG Line remains the same.
