As Honda gears up to launch the new Elevate SUV in India, more details of the car have leaked online. This time, we have received the variant-wise breakup of the features of the Honda Elevate. While bookings for the car have commenced, the SUV will be delivered to customers by September 2023.
Honda Elevate variants
Like all Honda models, the Elevate too gets a familiar naming system. The Elevate will be offered in four trims – SV, V, VX & ZX. Let us take a look at the features of each of the variants.
The entry level variant is the SV. This comes with features like LED projector headlamps, LED tail lights. Honda has equipped this variant with 16-inch steel wheels. On the inside, the Elevate SV will get fabric seats, 60-40 rear split seats, auto air conditioning, keyless entry and a PM 2.5 cabin filter. The SV also gets push start button and dual front airbags.
Apart from the features of the SV, the V trim gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless android auto and apple carplay. On the inside, the Elevate V gets a 4-speaker music system, steering mounted controls and a multi-angle rear view camera.
The VX trim will get a sunroof. Honda offers a one-touch system for opening the sunroof. Other features on the VX include roof rails, LED projector fog lights and 17-inch dual tone alloys. Coming to the interiors, this variant will get a 6-speaker system, wireless phone charger, 7-inch digital driver instrument cluster, lane watch camera and auto folding ORVMs.
In the top-spec ZX trim, the Japanese carmaker is offering a larger 10.25-inch infotainment, Honda Sensing ADAS tech, side and curtain airbags amongst others. The insides will also feature a brown leather upholstery and there will be soft touch areas on the dashboard and the door trims.
Honda Elevate and the competition
Honda has a tough fight ahead. The Elevate is likely to face competition from fully-loaded sub 4m SUVs as well as rivals like the Hyundai Creta and the Kia Seltos. Further, Maruti’s Grand Vitara and Toyota’s Hyryder offer a hybrid powertrain as a distinguishing factor.
Honda is offering the new Elevate SUV with a 1.5-litre petrol engine from the Honda City. This motor develops 121 PS and 145 Nm. Customers will be able to choose from a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. There is no diesel or hybrid engine on offer.
