Honda shared development story of Elevate SUV for India

Honda has showcased the development story of the Elevate SUV. The car was recently unveiled in India and is expected to go on sale soon. The Honda Elevate will head on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti’s Grand Vitara to name a few.

At the beginning, the video starts with the Elevate SUVs background. The Elevate is a global model that has been designed for India. Furthermore, the SUV will cater to both younger and older audiences. Infact, the plans for the SUV started brewing during the pandemic itself. The idea was to make a car that was driven by freedom.

The exterior of the Elevate has been planned keeping in mind the needs of the younger generation. This means the car has perfect proportions to offer a good road presence. The SUV also has a muscular stance and makes do with sharp lines and features. In terms of looks, the front gets a theme to look bold while the higher shoulder line denotes passenger safety.

Coming to the insides, the Elevate SUV has been designed keeping in mind the tough demands of the Indian customer. This means, Honda had to work to offer a spcious interiors, adequate leg and knee room and a comfortable seat. Apart from these, a lot of planning has gone into the selection of the colours as well. Thes inside materials also have been selected to add to the car’s style and class.

Then, the next part of the video talks about the ride and driving dynamics. The car has been specially tuned to meet Indian driving needs and tackle the various road conditions that a driver might encounter. The SUV also gets an ADAS suite for enhanced safety. The 1.5-liter petrol engine from the City offers 121 BHP and 145 Nm and comes paired with a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
