Honda Dio scooter achieves 30 lakh sales milestone

Honda 2Wheelers India has achieved a new milestone of selling 30 lakh plus units of the Honda Dio since its launch in 2002. The scooter achieved its first 15 lakh sales in 14 years and the rest were sold in just 3 years which is 5 times faster than the previous sales figures. The Honda Dio is also the 4th largest selling scooter in India. Dio is also the largest exported scooter from India and is exported to Nepal, Sri-Lanka, Mexico, Columbia, Latin America and 11 South Asian countries.

The Honda Dio is powered by a 4-stroke, Fan-cooled, 109.19cc engine which produces 8 BHP of power and 8.9 Nm of torque coupled to a belt-driven CVT transmission. The chassis is an underbone frame with a spring loaded hydraulic type suspension on the front and rear. The brakes are mechanical 130mm drum type and equipped with CBS. The scooter weighs 109 kg (kerb) and has a fuel tank capacity of 5.3 litres.

The Honda Dio comes equipped with LED headlamp, LED position lamp and a fully digital meter. Dio is available in 9 colours under 2 variants- Standard & Deluxe.

The deluxe variant is available in:
