The plant operates with world-class manufacturing capabilities, with advanced robotic spot welding, robotic brazing, robotic roller hemming to achieve superior consistency levels. The plant has a new body shop, new press shop, and an assembly line. The plant also has a new parts distribution centre and a testing track and the vehicles go under stringent quality test. MG India has invested INR 2,200 crores in the Gujrat manufacturing plant and with extensive testing of the Hector SUV the car has gone into final production with specific changes for India.

The Hector SUV has been tested for over one million kilometres in various climate and road conditions in India before going into final production.

The feature-rich MG Hector comes equipped with a 10.4-inch vertically-oriented touchscreen infotainment with next-gen iSmart technology which is connected to the internet and can receive over-the-air updates.
