Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) recently announced its sales numbers for the month of October 22. Riding on the success of the festive season, the sales in that period contributed to the brand growth momentum. The company’s total sales for the month stood at 449,391 units. This includes 425,969 units in domestic and 23,422 exports. The figure for the same period last year stood at 4, 32,229 units. This included 394,645 domestic sales and 37,584 exports. This year’s festival season has garnered significant sales for the brand. With celebrations in full swing and a strong growth prospect, Honda made the most out of this demand.
Key Highlights of October 2022
Honda showcased the ease of access and durability of Honda products. It was done via its first-of-its-kind outdoor campaign, ‘Floating Showroom in the backwaters of Kerala’. This campaign intends to increase the ease of accessibility for its customers.
Celebrating a landmark achievement in Maharashtra, the company announced its cumulative two-wheeler sales in the region had crossed the momentous 80 lakh units mark.
In an attempt to increase its customer reach, HMSI inaugurated new Red Wing outlets across the country. This includes outlets coming up in Raigarh (Chhattisgarh), Kamareddy (Telangana), Katihar & Supaul (Bihar) and
Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh). Parallelly, HMSI also expanded its BigWing network with new outlets in Rajkot (Gujarat), New Delhi, and two outlets in Hyderabad (Telangana).
Under the road safety initiative, HMSI organized awareness camps in Bhiwani (Haryana), Chittorgarh (Rajasthan), and Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh). The company also celebrated the 2nd anniversary of its Safety Driving Education Centre (SDEC) located in Bengaluru (Karnataka). Meanwhile, it also celebrated the 5th anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Karnal (Haryana).
In motorsports, Repsol Honda Team rider Marc Marquez achieved his 100th podium with a 2nd place finish in the Australian Grand Prix. In the domestic circuit, the Round 5 of the 2022 INMRC concluded with the IDEMITSU Honda SK69 racing team’s Rajiv Sethu winning the second spot in Pro-Stock 165cc of the national championship. Meanwhile, Honda Racing India’s Rajiv Sethu and Senthil Kumar grabbed a total of 11 points at the end of Round 4 of the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC).
