Honda 2Wheeler India sold 2,34,029 units in June 2021

Honda 2Wheelers announces the sales report for June 2021. The company mentioned that they saw a gradual rise in the demand for two-wheelers in the given month. The decreasing Covid-19 cases, along with much lenient restriction on the people’s movement, is helping to bring back normalcy. Honda 2Wheelers is also scaling its operation at all four plants to meet the growing demand. Customers have also started to show up at the dealerships, and most of them are also leveraging digital services as well. The company also confirmed that almost 95 per cent of its dealerships are now operational, adhering to all Covid-19 guidelines.

Detailed Sales Figure Break-up

Honda 2Wheelers India registered a total sales of 2,34,029 units in June 2021. This figure breaks down as 2,12,446 units for the domestic market and 21,583 units for export. The figure for the same period last year stood at 2,10,879 units which were 2,02,837 units for the domestic market and 8,042 units for the international market. This rise in sales translates to a growth of 11 per cent.

Key Highlights Of June 2021

One of the significant events for Honda 2Wheelers India was the launch of the 2021 Gold Wing Tour. The response was also quite positive, as the first lot was completely booked within 24 hours of its launch. Honda is also aggressively working to widen its footprint in the country. The brand’s premium motorcycle business network known as BigWing made its presence in 6 new cities. This includes Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patiala, and Dehradun.

In terms of safety awareness, Honda 2Wheelers India celebrated the 2nd anniversary of Children’s Traffic Training Park in Trichy. Along with this, Honda also educated over 800 students and teachers in Sonipat. The company also made significant contributions to fight the ongoing pandemic. The company has set up Covid care isolation centres in Haryana and Rajasthan. These facilities are operational with 50 beds at Tapukara (Rajasthan) and 100 beds at Naurangura (Haryana).
