Big news from the house of Hero MotoCorp. World’s largest two-wheeler maker has now officially relaunched the Passion Plus for the Indian market. This happened after it was discontinued when the BS6 norms kicked in three years ago.
Hero Passion Plus – Key Highlights
The Passion Plus is now the fifth model in Hero’s line-up to use the much coveted and reliable 97.2cc, single-cylinder ‘Sloper’ engine. This motor makes about 8 HP and 8.05Nm of torque. Same as we see in the HF and Splendor models. This engine is now OBD-2 compliant and E20-ready. In fact, it also now comes equipped with Hero’s proprietary i3s start/stop tech. These features make the Passion Plus even more desirable.
Passion Plus uses a double cradle frame suspended by a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. Weighing 115 kg, Passion Plus is the heaviest Hero 100cc model. Braking power comes from 130mm drum brakes at both ends. The Passion Plus cast alloy wheels come with tubeless tyres sized 80/100-18 at both ends. Customers can get the Passion Plus in a total of three colours. In terms of features, it comes standard with a self-start, a Digi-analogue display and a USB charging port.
Hero Passion Plus Price And Rival Options
Priced at INR 76,065 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Passion Plus is currently the most expensive of all 100cc Hero models on sale out there. In the hotly contested 100cc segment, Hero MotoCorp now has a total of offerings. All of these go head to head against the newly-launched Honda Shine and the Bajaj Platina.
Hero Passion has always been a strong player for Hero MotoCorp. Ever since its launch, it has been one of the top-selling products from the two-wheeler maker. Now with its comeback, Hero Passion will bring in more customers, just boosting sales to new heights.
