Hero MotoCorp has launched the new BS6 emission compliant Hero Glamour at the price starting INR 68,900 ex-showroom, Delhi for the self-start with drum brakes and alloy wheels. Another variant that is the self-start with disc brakes and alloy wheels is priced at INR 72,400 ex-showroom, Delhi. The new BS6 compliant Hero Glamour competes with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Honda SP 125.
The new Glamour is powered by a BS6 compliant 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 10.73 bhp of power and 10.6 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The fuel delivery is through a Programmed Fuel Injection system with XSens technology and the brand claims that the new engine produces 19% more power than the first-gen Glamour. The new Glamour also features the i3S (idle Start Stop System) along with Auto Sail technology.
In terms of the mechanical hardware, the new Glamour comes with a diamond frame chassis that rides on telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers on the rear along with a 100 section tyre for increased stability. The new chassis and updated suspension claim to give the Glamour an extra 14% of front suspension travel, 10% extra rear suspension travel and 180mm of ground clearance which is 20% more. The Glamour on the disc brake variant gets a 240mm front disc and internally expanding mechanical drum brakes on the rear.
The new Glamour features a halogen headlamp on the front with a black flyscreen, body-coloured front mudguard, high-mounted ergonomic handlebars finished in black, analogue-digital instruments console with realtime mileage indicator, aggressive tank cowling, with the ‘Glamour’ moniker, newly designed side panels, new body graphic design, new alloy wheel design, a slightly scooped single-seat, grab rails in black finish and black finish on the exhaust heat shield etc.
The new BS6 compliant Hero Glamour comes with dual-tone body graphics offered in Techno Blue, Tornado Grey, Sports Red and Candy Red.
