Hero Electric grabs the top position in electric two-wheeler EV sales in the first half of 2021. The company sold a total of 15,000 units in this period, which is the highest for any electric two-wheeler manufacturer in the country. Since the opening of the market post the 2nd wave of Covid-19, Hero Electric sold a cumulative 4,500 units of electric vehicles. And this is again the highest for any two-wheeler electric company based on JMK research. Given the rising demand for electric two-wheelers in the market, Hero Electric plans to manufacture over 3 lakh EVs per year.
One of the main reasons for the uptick in the sales figure is the recent increase in fuel prices. Along with this, the recent amendment in the FAME II subsidies has made owning an electric two-wheeler much more lucrative. Add to that, the wide service network offered by Hero Electric, which is the widest in the country. This makes Hero Electric’s range of products much popular in the market. Currently, over 3.5 lakh customers are a part of Hero’s brand umbrella with more joining at regular intervals. To provide the best customer service, Hero is reskilling and training its workforce by creating an ecosystem called Preferred Garage owners.
With over 650+ touchpoints across the country, Hero electric promises its customers a service uptime of less than 2 hours. This is also because maintaining an electric vehicle is much easier and hassle-free. To enable full transparency, Hero Electric has started taking service estimates digitally. This ensures full authority of the customer to make decisions and also speeds up the approval process. Given the current times, Hero Electric has started an initiative that enables customers to book online for a test ride. The nearest dealer will get in touch with the customer and facilitate the test ride. Along with this, Hero Electric is also offering various financial schemes to its consumers.
