Citroen cars with discount in lakhs, no demand?

Citroen is offering heavy discounts on its range of cars. This could be the brand’s attempt to clear its 2023 stock, which can lead to discounts in Lakhs of Rupees. Three Citroen cars, namely, the C3, C3 Aircross and the C5 Aircross get the discount from the company. Reports suggest that the Citroen C3 comes with a discount of INR 1.5 lakh. While the C3 Aircross comes with a discount of INR 1.9 lakh. The brand flagship model the C5 Aircross also comes with a huge discount of INR 3.5 lakh.

Citroen C5 Aircross – Discounts

The Citroen C5 Aircross is being offered with a discount if INR 3.5 lakhs on the ex-showroom price. The discount is being offered in February 2024 and competes with the Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass. Reportedly, the French car brand only sold 55 units from April to December 2023. The flagship SUV is the slowest selling model in the portfolio and thus gets the highest benefits.

Citroen C3 and C3 Aircross – Discounts

The Citroen C3 comes with a benefit of INR 1.5 lakh and competes with the Maruti Suzuki WagonR and Tata Punch. The car price is between the INR 6.10 lakh to INR 9.10 lakh range. The C3 Aircross gets a higher INR 1.9 lakh discount and competes with Honda Elevate and Hyundai Creta. The C3 Aircross SUV ranges from INR 10 lakh to INR 14.30 lakh.

Citroen New Launches

Recently, Citroen launched the new variants of the C3 Aircross called the C3 Aircross Automatique. In addition to this, the brand also introduced the electric vehicle – E-C3 Shine variant in the Indian market. In addition to this, the French manufacturer also revealed that, from H2 2024 all its cars will come with 6-airbags as standard. Furthermore, Citroen will also offer rear seatbelt reminder and ISOFIX seat anchorage, as standard feature across variants. Currently, Citroen offers the e-C3, C3, C3 Aircross SUV and the C5 Aircross SUV in the Indian market.
