Maybach, known for its uniquely-equipped luxury cars, has unveiled a unique edition model of the GLS, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100. The brand has introduced the luxury SUV in a limited production run of just 100 cars. Mercedes-Maybach has also announced that customers can order the GLS Edition 100 from the fourth quarter of 2021.
Maybach History and Availability
The brand has revealed that the unique series model will be available at dealers in the primary markets from the beginning of 2022. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100 will be available in core markets like Germany, the USA, China, Russia, and South Korea. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100 celebrates Maybach’s 100 years of bespoke vehicle production. Maybach introduced its first mass-produced car in September 1921, known as Maybach W3. The Maybach W3 was one of the most technologically advanced motor vehicles with an epicyclic gear system and brakes on all wheels.
Mercedes-Maybach GLS – Edition 100
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100 comes with the Maybach hallmark twin tone colour. The Mercedes-Maybach Edition 100 features a high-tech silver/nautical blue exterior paint. The brand is also offering the interiors with a designo crystal white/silver grey pearl leather interior. Powering the GLS Edition 100 is a V8 engine that produces 557 hp power. Thus offering a delicate balance between the sporty performance and appearance with the luxury SUV.
Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100 – Features
The Mercedes-Maybach GLS Edition 100 comes with an “Edition 100” inscription on the D-pillar. The GLS Edition 100 comes with a 100 diamond-studded fountain pen from the Maybach the Peak collection. The special edition car also comes with Robbe & Berking champagne flute with special engravings. The car also gets a soft crystal white or black leather handmade case in file size to store keys and papers. The SUV also comes with a Burmester 4D surround sound system and high-tech screens for infotainment. The car also gets illuminated panels in the interior as well as heat and massage functions on the seats.
