Leading tyre manufacturer Ceat has announced a new range of high-performance all-terrain tyres of SUVs.
The Ceat CrossDrive makes use of cutting-edge 3D sipe technology and robust shoulder design that helps the tyre adapt to all-terrain applications. It uses new carbon black tread compounds that offer higher grip as well as improved fuel economy. The tyre has been tested at India’s premier auto testing track – NATRAX in Indore. It also did some mild off-roading near Indore as well.
Ceat has specifically designed the CrossDrives for all uses across both the 4×2 and 4×4 SUVs. The tyre is available across multiple sizes and can be purchased from leading tyre shops including Ceat’s exclusive outlets – the Ceat Shoppe and Tyre Stop. The tyre maker has also tied up with OEMs like Mahindra to provide this tyre on all-terrain vehicles like the Thar. Soon, the company will also launch this tyre in the global markets.
At the launch, Mr. Arnab Banerjee, CEO at Ceat Tyres Ltd., commented that the CrossDrive is one of their premium offerings in the all-terrain SUV segment. The tyres make use of new technologies and design to help customers overcome challenging and diverse terrains safely, at the same time improving the fuel efficiency of the car. The dual purpose tyres can be used both in the city as well as off-the-road, offering the best of both worlds.
