Ceat launches EnergyDrive 4-wheeler EV tyre

CEAT Ltd. India has announced the launch of its new range of EnergyDrive tyres specifically designed for four-wheeler EVs. Electric vehicles operate as silent vehicles with high torque, thus making the tyre noise more evident. With the launch of the new tyres, CEAT aims to balance this with its new features in the EnergyDrive EV tyres.

Features Of CEAT EnergyDrive

These new EnergyDrive tyres feature CALM (CEAT Acoustic Lowering Material) technology. Under this, CEAT is using a patented sound-absorbing material which reduces noise by filtration and absorption of vibration. The company has also incorporated EneryDrive tyres with the new cavity design called EasyFlex. This new design helps to reduce the rolling resistance of the tyres, assisting the EV with a better driving range.

The equipped DuraBlock technology used in the new EnergyDrive provides an improved block stiffness and lower thread flexing. The better stiffness helps to lower the deformation of the tyres while cornering on the road. This enables the tyres to last longer in the EVs, which have higher torque than the conventional ICE vehicles. This is the first time that a tyre such as EnergyDrive has been launched aimed specifically at four-wheeler EVs in India. With CALM technology, this set of tyres can tackle the road noise problem for EV owners. With this, CEAT aims to emerge as the preferred tyre for EV owners.
