Rider Registrations for the inaugural CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League are now open. The world’s first franchise-based Supercross league has collaborated with the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) towards this.
Planned for Oct-Dec 2023, the event will include four categories. These are namely 450cc international riders only, 250cc international riders only, 250cc India-Asia mix, and 85cc junior class.
Athletes of any nationality are permitted to participate in the event. Furthermore, International candidates must bring an NOC from their respective National Sporting Authorities (ASN)/National Federations for motorsport.
After registration, candidates will be made available to Franchises via an auction.
Apart from racing, the league will also help new riders to a platform that will promote their talent and offer interaction with other racers from all over the world. Apart from racers, this platform will attract the attention of both sponsors as well as manufacturers. They could utilize the league to showcase their products and latest technologies.
The league is also expected to boost the state of motorsport in the country.
Apart from CEAT as the title sponsor, the league has the Toyota Hilux as the official vehicle partner. The league along with Toyota and Ceat share a partnership that’s built up on the shared values of innovation, performance, and pushing boundaries.
The League has been envisioned as the world’s first franchised-based Supercross league. The league has signed up athletes across the world to compete in different formats and categories. According to the organizers, the event will offer a safe and competitive environment for riders of all ages and skills. They have also promised to give back to the local community by partnerships with local organizations. These partnerships will promote youth development and environmental sustainability.
