Ceat has unveiled the Indian Supercross Racing League. The league has been launched in collaboration with the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). This league is claimed to be the first franchise-based Supercross Racing League. The aim is to bring together riders across the world to participate across different events and categories. The unveiling was done at the hands of Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor. He is also an avid Supercross fan.
The season’s maiden event will take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi in October 2023. Following this, the league will move to other cities like Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad. The timeline for the same is October to December 2023. Motorsports fans will be treated to displays of skills, daring maneuvers, and high-speed action in these cities.
Apart from racing, the league will also help new riders to a platform that will promote their talent and offer interaction with other racers from all over the world. Apart from racers, this platform will attract the attention of both sponsors as well as manufacturers. They could utilize the league to showcase their products and latest technologies.
The league is also expected to boost the state of motorsport in the country.
Apart from CEAT as the title sponsor, the league has the Toyota Hilux as the official vehicle partner. The league along with Toyota and Ceat share a partnership that’s built up on the shared values of innovation, performance, and pushing boundaries.
The League has been envisioned as the world’s first franchised-based Supercross league. The league has signed up athletes across the world to compete in different formats and categories. According to the organizers, the event will offer a safe and competitive environment for riders of all ages and skills. They have also promised to give back to the local community by partnerships with local organizations. These partnerships will promote youth development and environmental sustainability.
