Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Doorstep fuel delivery is becoming more viable these days in India. Recently, BPCL has announced its doorstep diesel delivery in National Capital Delhi starting from as low as 20 litres in jerry cans. This will benefit the housing societies, hospitals, farmers, construction sites, banks, malls, educational institutes and more. BPCL confirmed that it plans to enable this facility to about 25 per cent of its fuel pumps in the National Capital Region. BPCL has tied up with Humsafar, a Delhi-based startup providing doorstep delivery of diesel to enable this service. Diesel is in much demand, especially to run generators and other machinery.

Advantages Of Home Delivery Of Diesel

Given the current situation, citizens are restricting their movement to limited places only. Most of the necessities are now available via home delivery, starting from groceries to furniture. And now, customers can also get diesel delivered directly to their doorstep. This service will provide a very simple and convenient way of procuring diesel from the comfort of their home. Humsafar will make use of jerry cans for the transportation of the fuel. This will reduce the chances of fuel spillage, unsafe handling and pilferages. In fact, these jerry cans are PESO approved and come with a seven-wire seal with a unique number. This will also reduce any chance of adulteration and misuse.

Other Features

Previously, consumers had to procure these diesel barrels directly from retail outlets. These caused a lot of spillages and dead mileage in energy procurement. But now, consumers can leverage this diesel home delivery facility. Humsafar mentioned that they have also developed an app for this facility. This user-friendly app will help consumers to place and track their orders. Along with this, consumers will receive an online invoice with full transparency. Home delivery of fuel is picking up pace in India, and along with Delhi, several other metro cities are also having similar facilities provided by other fuel delivery companies.
