Bounce Infinity has announced the commencement of production of its E-scooter, E1. Deliveries for the e-scooter will begin on April 18, 2022. The company will manufacture the Bounce Infinity E1 at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan’s plant which spans an area of three acres. The state-of-the-art facility houses the latest manufacturing technology and features highly proficient assembly systems. The production plant employs 200 workers at the plant. The manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi has an annual capacity of over 200,000 units.
Bounce Infinity will ensure multiple quality control checks, including a dyno run, to ensure the reliability of the end product. The brand reveals that the particular emphasis is on the safety and quality of batteries, before the dispatch of the scooter. The manufacturing unit will serve as the company’s national manufacturing hub to cater to the demand across the country. Before the end of the year, the company plans to set up an additional unit. The next plant will be set up in South India and will exceed an annual capacity of 500,000 units.
Bounce Infinity E1 – Design Highlights
The E1 features retro-inspired styling with modern elements. It sports projector headlights with integrated LEDs and a digital speedometer. The e-scooter gets hydraulic telescopic forks on the front and twin rear shock absorbers. The under-seat storage is 12 litres, and the seat height of the scooter is 780mm. The electric scooter comes with a tubular frame chassis and also stylish alloy wheels. The brand offers the E1 in five colours – Sparkle Black, Sporty Red, Desat Silver, Pearl White, and Comet Grey.
Bounce Infinity E1 – Powertrain
The scooter uses an IP67-rated 2kWh (48V) battery pack. According to Bounce, the motor produces 85 NM of torque and has a top speed of 65 kmph. As for acceleration, the 0-40kmph time of the scooter is 8 seconds. Braking duties are handled by hydraulic disc brakes on the front as well as the rear. The brakes also feature an Electronic Braking System.
Bounce Infinity E1 – Price
In India, only Bounce Infinity offers dual charging options – A scooter with Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) and a scooter with battery and charger. The former helps bring down the acquisition cost by 40 per cent compared to conventional electric scooters. The latter option also allows customers to remove the battery from the scooter and charge at the home, office or wherever convenient. As for pricing, the scooter, inclusive of the charger and the scooter with a Battery-as-a-Service subscription, costs INR 68,999 and INR 45,099 ex-showroom Delhi, respectively.
