Kia has announced that the brand will be opening bookings on the new Kia Carens MPV in the Indian market from 14th January 2022. The brand has not revealed the ex-showroom price of the car, which we expect to be revealed by the end of January or early February. The Kia Carens MPV comes with the latest design features and also contemporary looks.
The brand also revealed that the name CARENS is derived from ‘Car’ and ‘Rennaisance’. The Kia Carens comes with seating for seven and multiple engines and gearbox options. Kia will offer the MPV with both petrol and diesel engine options. Also, the Carens will feature Multi Drive Modes – Eco, Normal and Sport.
Kia Carens – Features
The Kia Carens are the first in segment MPV to come with six airbags as standard. Higher-spec models will also come with all-four disc brakes. In addition to this, the Carens will also get safety features such as hill assist control, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system etc., making the Carens one of the safest MPV on the market.
Creature comfort features include a 10.25-inch Audio Video Navigation Telematics (AVNT) system and a full-digital instruments cluster. The MPV also comes with hotkeys and smart trays for smartphones and tablets. The MPV also comes with a smart air-conditioning system and ventilated front seats. Kia also offers the car with star map LED DRLs, LED headlamps, star map design LED taillamps etc.
Kia Carens – Colours
Kia revealed that the brand would offer the Carens with three exterior colour options – Imperial Blue, Moss Brown and Sparkling Silver. The brand will also offer the Carens with spacious and premium interiors, one-touch retractable seats and indigo & light beige two-tone upholstery. Kia also offers the Carens with dual-tone alloy wheels with a twin-spoke design.
While the Carens will directly compete with the Hyundai Alcazar, the company is also exporting the Made-in-India Carens to other global markets.
