BMW has launched the new BMW X7 M50d Dark Shadow edition in the Indian market. The X7 M50d Dark Shadow edition is available in India as a completely built-up unit (CBU) at INR 2.02 Crore ex-showroom price tag. The brand has also revealed that the Dark Edition X7 M50d is available in limited numbers.
Only 500 units will be available worldwide, but how many will come to India has not been revealed yet. We suspect the brand will import only a handful of units for the Indian market. This will make the SUV ultra-exclusive in our country, giving it the status of a collector’s item. The limited models will only be available for order through the BMW Online Shop, available in the M Sport design scheme.
The BMW X7 M50d Dark Shadow edition features an exceptional BMW Individual paint finish in Frozen Arctic Grey metallic. The special paint comes with special finishes on the ORVM housings, the pillars and window surround, and also the frame and the bars of the BMW kidney grille. The gloss and black chrome accent contrast beautifully with the shimmering matte body paint.
The BMW X7 M50d Dark Shadow also features BMW Individual roof rail in a high gloss shadow line. The SUV also comes with exclusive features such as 22-inch M light-alloy wheels with a V-spoke design and a Jet-Black matte finish shod in mixed tyres. The car also comes with BMW Laserlight headlamps and an M Sport package with aerodynamically optimized bodywork elements as standard.
On the inside, the X7 M50d Dark Shadow edition comes with a six-seater configuration. This includes two captain-style Comfort Seats in the middle row. The SUV gets Active seat ventilation in front seats and an M leather steering wheel. The car also features an Alcantara finish BMW Individual roof liner in night blue. The X7 M50d comes with Sky Lounge Panoramic glass sunroof, five-zone air conditioning, soft close doors and ‘Crafted Clarity’ exquisite glass features on the gear selector, the iDrive control wheel, the audio control button and the start/stop button.
Powering the BMW M50d Dark Shadow edition is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engine. The motor makes 400 HP of power and 760 Nm of torque and comes with an 8-speed Steptronic Sports Automatic transmission. The SUV also features an Intelligent 4-Wheel-Drive system with M Sport Differential and variable torque distribution. The large SUV can accelerate from 0 -100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. For acoustic performance, BMW also employs an M Sport exhaust system.
