BMW is currently gearing up to launch the new iX electric SUV in the Indian market. With the electric SUV’s launch scheduled for next week, the brand also confirmed that it would introduce the i4 electric sedan to the Indian market as well. However, BMW has not revealed the dates for the BMW i4 electric sedan. But speculation is that the new i4 EV will make its market debut in India in the first half of 2022. The BMW i4 is the electric version of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe which features an internal combustion engine.
BMW i4 Electric Sedan – Design Highlights
The BMW i4 electric sedan comes with a blanked out front grille and specially shaped front and rear fenders. The front and rear fenders come with aerodynamic profiles as well as aero intakes that help in cooling the powertrain and brakes of the electric vehicle. The sedan features slender headlights with BMW signature DRLs and an imposing textured grille. The i4 also comes with a long bonnet and rounded wheel arches. The EV also comes with aerodynamic alloy wheels that fill up the wheel arches well. The BMW i4 sedan also comes with a progressive roofline and wraparound taillamps.
BMW i4 Electric Sedan – Features
The BMW i4 electric sedan comes with a 12.3-inch instruments cluster and a 14.9-inch control display with BMW Operating System 8. The car also comes with features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. BMW also offers the cabin with Sensatec and Vernasca leather trim. The car also comes with Harman Kardon Surround Sound System and a large sunroof.
BMW i4 Electric Sedan – Powertrain Details
Powering the i4 electric sedan is a 390 kW/530 Hp electric motor. The power unit is able to propel the EV from 0-100kmph in just 4 seconds. The electric sedan comes with a range of 590 km on the WLTP cycle.
