BMW has launched the 2-Series Gran Coupe 220d M Sport ‘Black Shadow’ edition at a special price of INR 42,30,000 ex-showroom, India. The brand has also announced that the Black Shadow edition will be limited to 24 units. The special ‘Black Shadow’ edition features specifically customised parts from the BMW Individual high-gloss shadow line package along with BMW ‘M’ Performance components that are worth INR 2.50 lakh.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé ‘Black Shadow’ edition features a high-gloss black mesh-style M front grille, black ORVM housings, BMW ‘M’ Performance rear spoiler finished in gloss black that not only add to the visual appeal but also optimizes the airflow around the car to reduce lift. The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé ‘Black Shadow’ edition also features 18-inch M Performance Y-Spoke M Forged alloy wheels finished in Jet Black with a BMW Floating hub cap that remains level with the ground at all times.
On the inside, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé ‘Black Shadow’ edition features a driver-focused cockpit newly designed Sport Seats with memory function, illuminated trim, decorative lighting with a space-shaping effect in the dark, six-colour dimmable ambient lighting, etc.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe also features a 10.25-inch Control Display with BMW ConnectedDrive technology, Wireless Apple CarPlay, BMW Virtual Assistant, BMW Gesture Control, Reversing Assistant, Parking Assistant with Rear View Camera, Wireless Charging and BMW Live Cockpit Professional which includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument display with 3D Navigation
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is powered by a BS6 compliant a 2.0-litre four-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel motor that produces 190 Hp of power and 400 Nm of torque matched to an 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission. The 2 Series features steering wheel paddle shifters, Launch Control, driving modes, ARB technology (actuator contiguous wheel slip limitation system), DSC (Driving Stability Control) and BMW Performance Control for safety. The 2 Series Gran Coupe can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 7.5 seconds.
For safety, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe also features six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), electric parking brake with auto hold, ISOFIX child seat anchorage system, crash sensors and side-impact protection.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé ‘Black Shadow’ edition will be available from 7 December 2020 onwards and can be booked through the brand’s contactless dedicated sales channel.
