Bajaj Auto has announced a price cut on its Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle, reducing prices by up to INR 10,000. This move is expected to make the bike even more attractive to cost-conscious and eco-friendly riders.
Price Reduction Details
The price cut affects two of the three available variants of the Freedom 125 CNG. The base Drum variant now costs INR 90,000 (ex-showroom), down from INR 95,000. The Drum LED variant has seen a more significant reduction, now priced at INR 95,000 (ex-showroom) from INR 1.05 lakh. The top-spec Disk LED variant remains unchanged at INR 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
Freedom 125 CNG Features and Benefits
The CNG motorcycle is powered by a 125cc petrol engine paired with a 2kg CNG tank. This combination offers a notable reduction in operating costs, with the bike providing a mileage of 102 km/kg on CNG and 64 km/l on petrol. The bike can cover up to 330 km on a full tank, including 200 km on CNG alone.
In addition to its economic and environmental benefits, the Bajaj Freedom 125 does not compromise on rider comfort or safety. The motorcycle features first-in-category mono-linked type suspension, providing a smoother ride even on rough roads. A long, quilted seat ensures maximum comfort for both the rider and passenger, making it suitable for longer journeys.
Customer Response
Early adopters of the Freedom have praised the bike for its fuel efficiency and eco-friendliness. The price reduction is expected to attract even more buyers, especially those looking for a cost-effective and environmentally friendly commuting option.
Freedom 125 CNG Market Impact
The Freedom has quickly become a popular choice among two-wheeler buyers in India. Since its launch in July 2024, the bike has sold over 40,000 units. The price cut is seen as a strategic move to clear inventory and boost sales further.
