Audi has launched the all-electric e-tron range in the Indian market starting at INR 99.99 lakh ex-showroom. With the Audi e-tron, the German car manufacturer forays into the Indian electric car market with its premium offering. The e-tron brand will directly compete with the Mercedes-EQ EQC and the Jaguar I-Pace. What gives the e-tron brand an edge over the competition, is the number of variants the EV is available in.
Audi e-tron – Price & Variants
The Audi e-tron comes in three variants – e-tron 50, e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55. The entry-level model, the e-tron 50 comes with a price tag of INR 99.99 lakh ex-showroom. The e-tron 55 is priced at INR 1.16 crore ex-showroom and the e-tron Sportback 55 comes with a sticker price of INR 1.18 crore ex-showroom.
Audi e-tron – Warranty & Service Offerings
Audi India is offering a 2-year standard warranty on the car and a High Voltage Battery warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km. On top of this, the brand also offers Extended Warranty options ranging from 2+2 years or 2+3 years. Furthermore, Audi India is also offering its customers a complimentary 5-year Road Side Assistance with the e-tron range.
The brand is also offering a choice of Service Plans ranging from 2 years to 5 years. These include Comprehensive Service Plans that cover periodic maintenance of brakes, suspension, and service of the vehicle. The Extended Warranty also gets a cover for 4-years or a 5-years period, depending on the scheme. Audi is also offering a buyback scheme of up to 3 years from the date of purchase.
Audi e-tron – Powertrain and Performance
Powering the Audi e-tron 50 is a 230kW electric motor at the front and rear that is capable of accelerating the car from 0-100 kmph in just 6.8 seconds. The e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55 come with a 300kW electric motor at the front and rear. The motor is capable of accelerating the vehicle from 0-100 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. The powertrain comes with a fully variable quattro drive for optimum traction and precise power delivery on all four wheels. The e-tron also comes with a progressive steering, adaptive air suspension with adjustable ride height and Audi Drive Select (driving modes).
Audi e-tron – Battery Range and Charging
The Audi e-tron 50 comes with a 71kWh lithium-ion battery that offers a WLTP range between 264-379km on a single charge. The e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55 comes with a 95kWh lithium-ion battery that provides a WLTP range of 359-484km on a full charge. The e-tron range comes with a best-in-class recharging option ranging from 11kW AC to up to 150kW DC. The brand also employs an efficient Thermal management system and 3 levels of recuperation, recovering energy during deceleration and improves battery life.
