One of India’s top-selling EV makers, Ather Energy, has posted its sales figure for May 2022. The company has sold a total of 3,787 units for the given period, which is also its highest ever monthly sales figure. Ather Energy recently also raised a new round of funding of USD 128 million. Leading the Series E round of funding is NIIF (National Investment and Infrastructure Fund) and Hero MotoCorp. With the resources coming in, we expect more exciting happenings in the Ather garage. Ather currently has two models on sale, 450X and 450 Plus electric scooters.
Demand For Electric Scooters On The Rise
With the growing number of EVs, a host of different electric mobility companies have joined in the last two years. But, as an early player in the market, Ather Energy has made the most of the time. This is also reflected in Ather’s products on offer. To keep up with the competition, Ather Energy recently added a new accessory, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. With this, riders can monitor the air pressure inside the tyres in real-time. Interested customers who want to avail of this accessory can visit their nearest Ather Space. The company further confirmed that this is the first in the series of accessories planned to be launched over the next few months.
Ather Expands Its Dealership Network
With the growing demand, Ather Energy is also adding more dealerships to its network. The company currently has its presence in 35 markets across 41 experience centres. Recently, Ather Energy opened 8 new experience centres in Kerala. Furthermore, to keep up with the growing number of electric scooters in the market, Ather has tied up with various charging companies. Ather Grid already has made its presence in various cities at the key localities. But, these collaborations with various charging companies will widen the charging network to a great extent.
