Ather Energy, the electric vehicle company based in Bengaluru announces the release of its 13th OTA (Over The Air) update. This OTA built by Atherstack, the company’s multitude of services including the front-end to firmware to data pipeline will enable the Bluetooth based music and call control on the Ather 450X along with some enhanced features on the mobile app for all the owners with Android and iOS devices. With the backing from industry greats like, Hero MotoCorp, Flipkart Founders and Tiger Global, Ather Energy is making quite an impact in the electric two-wheeler sector in the country.
Upon installing this new update, it will allow the riders to pair their smartphone to the electric scooter. This helps the rider to control the music and keep track of all the phone calls thus enabling a safe and hassle-free experience. Riders can now either accept or reject a call on the fly without any input to their smartphones, which adds up as a safety feature. The music which is playing on the smartphone will get displayed on the 7-inch touchscreen along with the name of the artist, song and album.
When the scooter is stationary, the rider can seek through various tracks, play/pause the current track and other music-related controls. Ather Energy confirmed that this feature will support all popular music and podcast streaming services. To add to the convenience, Ather will also include a combination of physical switches to use the above-mentioned features. This update will make sure that riders need not pull out their mobile phones often, thus increasing safety and convenience.
Ather claims that the brand new Ather App, built from scratch will have a completely revamped user interface that is much more clean and intuitive to use. The redesigned and contextual home screen will provide all the useful information to the rider in one place making the app much more engaging and user-friendly.
