Ather electric scooters get MASSIVE price cut in Maharashtra

Ather Energy has dropped prices on both the Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450X in Maharashtra. The electric scooters are now available with a revised price in the state of Maharashtra. The state government offers additional incentives on electric vehicle purchases, making Ather scooters much more affordable.

Electric Vehicle Subsidy

The Government of India, under the FAME II policy, provides an incentive of INR 43,500. In addition to the FAME II (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles), the state Government also provides an additional incentive of INR 24,500. This means Ather Energy scooters in Maharashtra will be cheaper by INR 68,000 on the ex-showroom price, which is a massive price cut.

Ather Scooters New Price in Mumbai

The Ather 450 Plus, after the incentive of the FAME II and the state Government, comes to INR 103,731 effective price, excluding Insurance, Road tax & Registration charges. The Ather 450X comes with a new price of INR 122,741. Price is excluding Insurance, Road tax & Registration charges. The price also includes INR 19,010 for the Performance upgrade that unlocks the Warp mode and Bluetooth on the Ather 450X.

Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450X Electric Scooters

Powering the Ather 450 Plus is a 5.4 kW electric motor. This motor produces 22 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Ather 450Xfeatures a 6 kW electric motor that delivers 26 Nm of torque. The Ather electric scooter also comes with Eco, Ride, Sports, and Warp riding modes. The brand also offers features such as LED lights, a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen dashboard, 4G connectivity and Bluetooth 4.2. The bike also comes with Over The Air updates for the instruments cluster.

The Ather 450 Plus offers a battery range of 70 km on a single charge. The Ather 450X comes with a battery range of 85 km on a single charge. Both scooters can achieve a top speed of 80 kmph, but the 450X sprints faster from 0-40 kmph at 3.3 seconds. The 450 Plus takes 3.9 seconds to sprint from 0-40 kmph.
