Aprilia Tuareg 660 adventure bike revealed at EICMA 2021

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Aprilia has revealed the new Tuareg 660 adventure bike at the EICMA 2021. Aprilia introduced the Tuareg name in 1985 for its authentic off-roading machines. The Aprilia Tuareg 660 continues to carry on the legend using the Aprilia 660 platform. Aprilia reveals that the Tuareg 660 is designed, developed and built as the ideal synthesis between mono-cylinder enduros and mid-range adventure bikes. Both of which have been antithetical to date. The Aprilia Tuareg 660 carries its tourer personality and at the same time also raises the level of off-road riding to adventure bikes.

Aprilia Tuareg 660 – Technical Specifications

The Aprilia Tuareg 660 comes with superior on-road performance, premium electronics and high-specification off-road equipment. Powering the Tuareg is a 659cc parallel-twin-cylinder engine with liquid cooling. The engine produces 80 Hp of power and 70 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle rides on a steel trellis frame with a plate welded subframe and very long-travel suspension.

Aprilia boasts that the fully adjustable units are ideal for overcoming any off-road obstacle. The bike also comes with an 18-litre tank heavily tapered in the leg area to allow out of saddle riding. The Tuareg 660 also comes with a 21-inch front, and 18-inch rear wheel shod in Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres, measuring 90/90 front and 150/70 rear.

Aprilia Tuareg 660 – Design & Features

The Aprilia Tuareg 660 comes with an upright ADVxEnduro design language. The brand offers its signature triple headlamp cluster with sharp details and unique LED DRL light signatures. The Tuareg comes with a tall windscreen, muscular fuel tank with extensions, and a rugged engine bash plate. The Aprilia Tuareg 660 features a sleek tail section with LED lighting, bench-style seating and a high-mount exhaust. The bike comes with an extensive electronics package thanks to APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control). This includes ride-by-wire, riding modes, traction control, cruise control, engine braking and a 5-inch TFT screen to display the information.

Aprilia Tuareg 660 – Price & Availability

Aprilia will offer the Tuareg 660 in three colour options – Acid Gold, Martian Read and Indaco Tagelmust.
