Apollo Tyres has announced the launch of its Tramplr range of Enduro Off-road and Enduro Street tyres. This set of tyres will cater to the Indian premium motorcycle market (150 – 500cc). The Tramplr range is compatible with various motorcycle segments like Sport Touring, Adventure Touring, Cruisers, as well as Street Sports. All of these segments constitute around 20 per cent of the overall motorcycle market in India.
Apollo Tramplr is available in two patterns. First is the Apollo Tramplr XR, which is a 70:30 Enduro Off-road tyre for Adventure Touring. Second is the Apollo Tramplr ST, which is an 80:20 Enduro Street tyre for Dual Sports capabilities. These tyres have been developed in-house at Apollo Tyres’ Global R&D Centre, Asia, in Chennai. Apollo manufactures these tyres at the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Vadodara, Gujarat.
With the changing consumption pattern of Indian consumers, along with the increase in the enthusiastic segment of riders, Apollo has come up with these tyres. This will equip the motorcycles with new shoes to extend their capabilities. Furthermore, Apollo mentioned that they are now pushing the envelope to go for dual sports and adventure touring segments.
Tramplr XR will perfectly suit the likes of Royal Enfield Classics, Yamaha FZ series, Suzuki Gixxer & Intruder, KTM Series, Bajaj Dominar and BMW G310 R. Apollo also talked about the tyre sidewall. The sidewall has some of the greatest adventure locations imprinted on it. Thus, the locations mentioned on the sidewall imbibe the idea of going to all these places and clearing off the bucket list with Tramplr XR. The sidewall styling also reflects upon the true adventure touring nature of this tyre. Thus, it offers a unique tread pattern and great on-road handling.
Tramplr XR is the perfect choice for adventure touring as well as, for on-road comfort. The use of big-sized tread blocks and steel radial technology improves structural resistance. This results in better stability at high speed, which makes Tramplr XR an adept tyre for all-terrain riding. The stone ejectors, open cross grooves, and specialised compounds further enhance the off-roading capability.
The Apollo Tramplr ST is more suited for intra-city use cases. Here we see the sidewall with graffiti art, which focuses on riders’ camaraderie. Being the art form of expression, graffiti urges the riders to express their thirst to reign the streets with their motorcycle. The Apollo Tramplr ST will cater to the likes of the TVS Apache series, Bajaj Pulsar, Yamaha Fazer and MT15.
Apollo Tramplr ST has an exclusively designed tread pattern and unique sipes that enhance the wet grip for city riding. The equipped big central blocks and wide footprint area also give Tramplr ST a superior grip and allow low rolling noise. This helps in keeping the motorcycle stable at high speed and keeps the fun going while riding.
