Ceat Tyres, one of India’s leading tyre manufacturers introduces a new concept of only women operated Ceat shoppes across the country. Ceat Tyres has been instrumental in the Indian tyre market to bring up some innovative products like the recently launched Label Rated tyres, Puncture Safe tubeless bike tyres and more.
Ceat Tyres is trying to do its bit towards women empowerment by the launch of women-only shoppes. The first of such shops have come up in Bhatinda, Punjab with 10 more planned in the coming few months. The tyre industry in the country is a male-dominated market and Ceat Tyres wants to change this narrative with the introduction of this initiative which will enable women to get equal opportunity to grow in the tyre market. Since the pandemic, there has been a significant increase in the unemployment rate and with the introduction of this initiative Ceat Tyres will try to generate employment opportunities. This step will compel other manufacturers to come up with similar initiatives which will generate more job opportunities for women.
Ceat Tyres is currently the OEM tyre supplier for the recently launched Renault Kiger. Ceat Tyres will provide the 195/60/R16 size to the Kiger. Ceat Tyres also confirmed that it will provide the tyres for Kiger’s sibling, Magnite which will also be of the same size as that of Kiger. In the two-wheeler market, the brand is providing the OEM tyres for the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. The 650-cc motorcycle comes with 100/90/R18 and 130/70/R18 size tyres.
