Ceat ‘Puncture Safe’ tubeless bike tyres come with a patented Sealant

CEAT has come up with a unique product which is set to disrupt the entire two-wheeler tyre market in India. With the launch of its Puncture Safe Tyres, CEAT will be attracting a lot more customers to buy its products. The company has launched these Puncture Safe tyres for the two-wheeler market in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. CEAT, which comes under the RPG Enterprises has been operating in the country since 1958 and is currently, one of the leading tyre manufacturers for all segments of vehicles in India.

How does ‘Puncture Safe Tyes’ work?

These tubeless tyres have the capability to seal themselves after a puncture. A patented Sealant developed by CEAT helps in achieving this remarkable self-sealing ability. CEAT claims that with the use of this technology tyres do not lose air when punctured with objects of up to 2.5 mm in diameter. The sealant will act instantly and seal the area of damage.  CEAT mentioned that the sealant will last for the entire life of the tyre and there is no need for any special servicing. In a country where tyre punctures are so prevalent due to varying reasons like improper road maintenance, careless dumping of wastes on the road and more, these tyres will act as an attractive offering to the motorcycle riders. These tyres have two limitations that the sealant seals the tread area and fits only to the tubeless rims
